My name is Joanne De Rubeis. I am a Canadian nurse and educator with years of experience training, hiring, and supporting caregivers and healthcare professionals from around the world. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with internationally educated nurses, personal support workers, and home care aides as they prepared to begin new lives and careers in Canada. I understand the barriers people face: confusing credential requirements, immigration delays, unfamiliar workplace expectations, and the emotional toll of starting over. I have also seen how easily misinformation spreads. Many newcomers are taken advantage of by unregulated consultants, pay for services they don’t need, or feel lost trying to sort fact from fiction. That’s why I created this course: to offer legitimate, trustworthy support based on real experience and Canadian standards.
